  14. I've got a ZOOM VFP 28.8 internal modem.  Having trouble getting 
  15. Win95 to recognize it. ("My Connection" says "...Modem is not 
  16. responding...)  I use it all the time with Linux.  Works 
  17. reasonably well considering my noisy phone line..

  19. I've read some of the horror stories on ZOOM here, so I ask 
  20. guardedly...

  22.   Is my effort to get this thing working with Win95 for naught?

  24.   Is ZOOM's upgrade offer ($89 to swap for a v.34I) worth the 
  25. bother?

  27.   Or should I just bite the bullet and opt for a USR?
